What will you do to promote World Breast Cancer Awareness Day? My wife Marjory has just finished a horrible two years of treatment for breast cancer. She's blogged the story on www.twinkletwinkles.com so that others can benefit from her experience.
Tomorrow is World Breast Cancer Awareness Day - what will you do to promote it? | I'm not doing anything about it more than usual. I think most women are already aware that breast cancer exists.
It's not something I want to dwell on, or to be afraid of because I think that fearing something like that can actually help in bringing it into a person's life.
When I see information on how to prevent it -- not using deodorant that contains aluminum, for instance, considering how many women have breast tumors that are precisely in that outer area there near the where the aluminum concentrates from the deodorant under the arms -- and other information, I read it and I pass it on.
I'm very sorry for your wife's struggles with it, and happy for her that she is finished with her treatment - I hope it was successful and that she lives to be 120!
And I pray I never get it, myself. Or anyone I know. | Has this world become sexist against males? Postnatal depression seems to be the only depression focused on by the world. We see it as a big problem... which it is... but it receives so much more support and attention than other types of depression (eg, bipolar disorder), which are suffered mainly by men. Four times as many men than women suffer from depression, and four times as many men than women commit suicide because of it. Yet we never seem to focus on this issue and lean towards other issues that effects females.
Another example... breast cancer. Just as many men are diagnosed with and die from prostate cancer as women do from breast cancer... yet we focus completely on a world breast cancer day (which is fine), and it is promoted world wide every year with loads of support. Why does prostate cancer not receive the same attention and support? Why is world Prostate cancer day not advertised and supported world wide?
The same drug is used to treat breast cancer and prostate cancer... yet here in Australia, women receive the drug for free, but men have to pay for it. Is that not sexist?
(TWO MORE COMING) | i think it is, i compleletly agree with you that everyone is being sexist and not giving men the rights the deserve. Just like the other day i was in class, and the principal comes storming in (a women) and she yells at all of the guys in the class for using obscene language because there are ladies in the classroom, the ladies in the classroom swear just as much, so why were us guys the ones getting in trouble. Another thing is the breast cancer issue, yes i support breast cancer but you never see prostate cancer support, its always about breast cancer, on t.v, in magazines, billboards, etc. I think that the only reason that this is happening is because years ago, when women didn't have rights, now there abusing them?
I also agree that if a man has sex with a women, the women has 100% control over everything afterwards if she becomes pregnant, that is completely unfair because she decided to do the nasty too.
Another thing sexist against males now a days is their intelligence just last year there was a big thing in the paper saying over 80% of males get ADD and ADHD making them less intelligent then all females.
And yet another thing, if a man is caught doing anything suspicious with a young girl he can get jail time, and be labeled sick and perverted, but if anything happens with a women and a young boy, its looked at completely different and the women probably wont get jail time. | How different would the world be if men had breasts? My contributions. I don't think men would have that hand shaking honour thing. I think they would have invented the breast squeeze instead. Hello my name's Don, pleased to meet you, (Squeeze squeeze) Can't you just see it. Men sqeezing eath others breasts instead of shaking hands, LOL
The other is, when women age, go gray, get wrinkles and breasts sag, men make us feel ugly about it. Yet they've convinced us that when they get old, gray and wrinkled it's a sign of great intelligence and wisdom. (Nice one guys.) Well if they had breasts they would convince us that the more their breasts sagged the more intelligent and wise they were. LOL
How do you think men with breasts would change the world | I've always said a lot of mens heart and brains
are in their pants.
So when they get old, Doesn't that shrink up and sag too?
So where does their wisdom go ?
Some would really be into themselves
if they had breasts. | Breasting a baby in public is considered immoral in the US. Where can i find the legal basis to this? I might sound as an ignorant but in most countries around the world, breasting a baby is a common thing. Here in Mexico, mothers don't even take care of covering their breasts when feeding a suckler and nobody cares because is so common. I'm trying to find the reasons why it is considered immoral in the US. Please be informative. | There is no real legal basis. The reason Americans find it so disgusting is because the country was founded by conservative Puritans. As such, you can see an incredibly conservative streak in most of American beliefs (breastfeeding, abortion, general approach to sexuality, etc.), though thankfully it's disappearing somewhat.
Americans see breasts solely as being sexual. They don't see the functional side of them at all. An American really has trouble with the concept that breasts are originally intended to serve as food for babies. We're taught that breasts are a man's playground, so to speak.
I have to admit that even I have trouble with this occasionally, though I try really hard to be open-minded. It's sad how babies are suffering because people are squeamish about boobs. I'm sure many more mothers would breastfeed in public if it weren't for the societal disgust they face. | What do you think of the largest breasts in the world 102zzz 8stone? She claims they are natural ..! | Hi Sexy night nurse
Some girls are bigger than others *winks* .... but that woman is just to fat ,,,, they could be natural ,,, is there any cosmetic surgeons out there who would recommend that a super fat woman get boob job.....xxx | I have always wanted to ask this!? Great, wide, beautiful, wonderful World,
With the wonderful water round you curled,
And the wonderful grass upon your breast--
World, you are beautifully drest.
The wonderful air is over me,
And the wonderful wind is shaking the tree,
It walks on the water, and whirls the mills,
And talks to itself on the tops of the hills.
You friendly Earth! how far do you go,
With the wheat-fields that nod and the rivers that flow,
With cities and gardens, and cliffs, and isles,
And people upon you for thousands of miles?
Ah, you are so great, and I am so small,
I tremble to think of you, World, at all;
And yet, when I said my prayers to-day,
A whisper inside me seemed to say,
"You are more than the Earth, though you are such a dot:
You can love and think, and the Earth cannot!"
so why do we kill and fight?

Ice cream made of pasteurised human breast milk? Yes, it's called Baby Gaga and it's sold in central London. We take a trip around the world to find some other delicious ingredients whetting the appetite of lip-smacking diners...and very weird they are...
A restaurant in central London had presented a new item on the menu: ice cream made from pasteurised human breast milk, which they called Baby Gaga. The new repast has been withdrawn by Westminster Council, not because of the price - 14 GBP a portion - but to check whether it is fit for human consumption. Yet it is so popular...
The inventor of Baby Gaga, Matt O'Connor, was staggered with the response from the public, who went to eat a dollop of ice cream churned with the milk of Victoria Hiley, a London mother of 35, Madagascan vanilla pods and the zest of a lemon and served with a wafer and a shot of Calpol or Bonjela, for an equally staggering 14 pounds, or 23 USD. Her justification: "What the harm in using my assets for a bit of extra cash?" Calling it a "recession beater", she receives 15 GBP (25 USD) for every ten ounces of milk she produces.
The new ice cream had been presented to the public since February, yet after receiving complaints from two members of the British public, Westminster Council decided to withdraw Baby Gaga to make sure it was fit for human consumption. Worried Conservative Party councillor Brian Connell stated to the BBC that: "Selling foodstuffs made from another person's bodily fluids can lead to viruses being passed on and, in this case, potentially hepatitis. As the local authority we will support small businesses and applaud innovative ideas wherever possible, but must protect the health of consumers.
Matt O'Connor insists the ice cream has been medically screened, is pasteurised and that the spontaneous response from many mums was to come forward to offer their own milk.
In his opinion, "No-one has done anything interesting with ice cream in the last hundred years". Yuck? At last it's good publicity for his ice cream parlour, Icecreamists.
Rest of this weird story is on this link->
english.pravda.ru/society/anomal/… | I guess I'm weird. I don't really see a problem with it. After all, it is pasteurized and it isn't coming from some unknown, untested source. I am certain that there are qualifications that Hiley has to meet to ensure the potability of the milk she provides; those qualifications are probably stricter than is required of cows.
As for whether or not I'd try it, I almost certainly would. I'm more apt to try something in which I know what I'm eating rather than some off the shelf chemical catastrophe. | My man looks at freakish porn of women who are touted as having the largest breasts in the world!? These women look like freaks of nature. Should I be worried that he is looking at not JUST porn which I disagree with but at these women who have to have their breasts DRAINED, yes DRAINED because they are continually growing due to these freak of nature implants?
I told him it makes me think I am not good enough for him and I am insecure even though we both agree our sex life is good. He said he is just curious. I think this curiosity is disgusting and way off what I feel is "normal".
He only admitted to the porn after I found out about it. He ws hiding that he was viewing it. He said he was just curious. | | That is disgusting. I would tell him to give it up or give me up. I wouldn't put up with that ****. |
