Where did all the pantyhose go??

I don't have much of an eye for celebrity fashion, but it would be nice if what you say is true.

You need to talk with a therapist about this obsession. It is not healthy. Since it started as a teenager, it may be an indication of something completely unrelated that you were not dealing with. Now years later, that unrelated issue is still there and so is the obsession.
